ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer

Course Outline

The ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer training course provides the participants with the essential competencies needed to effectively plan, implement, manage, monitor, maintain, and continually improve an artificial intelligence management system (AIMS).

Prerequisites

The main requirement for participating in this training course is having a general knowledge of the AIMS and ISO/IEC 42001.

Who Is This For?

This training course is designed for professionals responsible for overseeing and managing AI projects, providing them with the expertise to implement and govern AI management systems effectively. Consultants who advise organisations on AI implementation strategies will benefit from understanding the practical application of ISO/IEC 42001 requirements.

Expert advisors and specialists aiming to master the implementation of AI management systems (AIMS) will gain the skills needed for hands-on deployment and compliance. The course is also suitable for individuals tasked with ensuring that AI projects meet organisational AI requirements, as well as members of AIMS implementation teams involved in the practical rollout of AI systems.

Executives and managers seeking to make informed strategic decisions regarding AI implementation and ensure alignment with ISO/IEC 42001 will acquire the knowledge necessary to guide and support AI initiatives.

What Will I Learn?

This course prepares participants to implement an AI management system in line with ISO/IEC 42001. It provides the skills to translate AI strategies into practical, actionable solutions and offers a comprehensive understanding of best practices for AI implementation. Participants gain a clear framework for integrating AI within organisational processes and develop the hands-on experience necessary to lead AIMS implementation projects effectively. Upon completing the course and passing the exam, participants can apply for the “PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer” credential, demonstrating their capability to successfully implement AI strategies and contribute to robust AI governance within their organisations.

After successfully completing the ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer training course, you will be able to explain the fundamental concepts and principles of an Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS) in accordance with ISO/IEC 42001.

You will also be able to interpret the standard’s requirements from the perspective of an implementer, gaining a clear understanding of how to align AI initiatives with organisational objectives. The course equips you to initiate and plan the implementation of an AIMS using PECB’s IMS2 Methodology alongside other recognised best practices.

You will learn how to support an organization in operating, maintaining, and continually improving its AIMS, ensuring that AI systems are effectively managed and monitored. Additionally, participants will gain the skills needed to prepare an organization for a third-party certification audit, demonstrating compliance with ISO/IEC 42001 and reinforcing the organisation’s capability in AI governance and management.
